Day 5 – Breathing Life and Efficiency into the Wilderness

✨ Dev Blog: Day 5 – Breathing Life and Efficiency into the Wilderness ✨

Making it Move (and Look Good Doing It!)

Animations are flowing! Our environments and creatures are starting to feel less static and more alive. There’s a subtle beauty in the way a desperate escape unfolds, or a well-timed projectile finds its mark. ✨

The Terrain Evolves

Level design isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about gameplay. We’re crafting chokepoints, hiding secrets, and making sure every inch of the forest tells a story… and poses a unique challenge. 🌳

Sharpening Our Tools

The unsung heroes of game dev – engine tools! We’re fine-tuning our workflow, configuring systems, and building the backbone for rapid iteration. It might not be glamorous, but it means more time spent realizing the fun stuff. 🛠️

The World Expands

Prefabs galore! We’re populating our library of reusable assets, which means building out those detailed environments and encounters gets a whole lot faster. This is where “Wild at Heart” starts feeling tangible. 🌱

What’s Next?

Enemies need some brains to go with that placeholder brawn! Crafting AI that feels both challenging and fitting with our isolation theme is next on the agenda. Plus, we’ve got some juicy environmental effects brewing…

Join the Journey

When you’re lost in the woods, every sound matters. What whispers and creaks would make your skin crawl? Let us know!
